C'est Magnifique

It seems everyone is always going on about how fabulous Paris, and France in general, is. I've never been there, so I reserve the right to hold back my judgement, but, I must say, the French sure know how to do things right. Fashion, music, films, food... I've been sucked into it all lately.

Paris Je T'aime isn't the greatest movie I've ever seen, but the Parisian scenes and soundtrack (especially "We're all in the Dance" by Feist) make it worth renting.

Ariane Moffatt's newest album, Tous les sens is the perfect mix of eclectic pop, it's upbeat and fun, and the perfect spring album.

After listening to one of my friends go on and on about Les Choristes, I finally decided to rent it. The only thing more beautiful than the movie itself is the gorgeous soundtrack.

Lastly, is a young French-Canadian whose music I discovered on one of my random iTunes downloading fests. Coeur de Pirate's debut album has been on constant replay since I purchased it. Although I can't understand the words to her self-written songs, I can understand the emotions behind them.

P.S.- I promise to return this weekend with a real blog entry. Complete with pictures. Forgive my extended absence from the blogosphere. Uni has kept me dreadfully busy!

Jamal ♥'s Latika

Sorry for my lack of posts this week. I've been a bit under the weather. Went to see Slumdog Millionaire tonight and it was simply and utterly amazing, definitely deserving of the eight Oscars it won! So, if you haven't seen it yet, get on it!

Hit the Lights

I think everyone should sneak into a movie at least once in their life. Tor and I went to see Sisterhood II today (which we paid for...) and we tried to go see Mamma Mia afterwards, but it wouldn't fit into our schedule. We saw Dark Knight instead, and it was SOOOOO good!

Batman is forreal my favorite super-hero... He rocks. And stupid Gotham; they just don't appreciate him. One day.

Today was seriously the best day ever. Tor and I had so much fun seeing movies and taking crazy pictures. It's good to be home.

GO Indy.

I love summer.... Mostly for the movies. I don't think I can keep up with all of the fabulous cinematic experiences that I will be having in the next few months, but I sure am ready! It just sucks that I won't be here in July, but I suppose Poland is a fair trade-off. It's all about those economics! haha

So, um. What are you waiting for??? Go see Prince Caspian and Indiana Jones now!
